![]() So emotionally driven choices that give into hatred or fear might push you towards the dark side, but doing something shitty for a perceived greater good would not. It's difficult to inspire that kind of devotion in a third person environment like a game without using the romance card. Luke's love for Obi Wan, Luke's love for his friends, and finally, Luke's love for his father. Personally, If I had the chance to redo the morality system, I would probably remove a ton of the moral alignments for many of the choices in the game, and limit LS and DS to what they actually ARE within the context of SW. Using Star Wars, the Han/Leia romance aside, the catalyst for most of the movies was love. ![]() ![]() What I mean by that is that you're meant to make a difficult and amiguous choice, then have that choice almost arbitrarily forced into the label of "LS" or "DS", showing just how hollow that view of morality can be. One possible meta explanation for this is that the game is attempting to criticize the light dark dichotomy specifically by forcing you into it. ![]() What I mean is the game was REALLY missing a ''true'' Grey Alignment which is kinda ironic since that's 1 of the game's major themes, that morality isn't always ''Dark or Light''. 1 thing that really irked me was the fact that you couldn't follow Kriea's teachings to the core.
